greetings from hot hot happy madrid! how's the end of summer treating you? are you listening to wonderful, melancholy augustine airliner on repeat like i have? have you found it as difficult as me to place yourself in front of a computer to do anything? even though there were several post ideas floating around the house in the last few days, germinating, growing a bit under this sun. truth be told i've been here all week pretty much doing nothing, simply fighting the sweat with lots of cold vinegary soups (cf. gazpacho, ajoblanco*), watching movies half-way (mr arkadin, so concentrated yet oil-n-vinegary, even half of it will do for the time being. btw the real,… Read More

Can you hear it? it's about time we storm outta Fort Hamilton Park and follow the thunderbolt... tick tock tick tock kaboom.. just one more day. Pidg just made all the t-shirts while i did nothing but contemplate what picture to use for an entry on... an a-z of bands we'll be playing with. that's the most exciting part of touring! so if you look at the tags you'll see we start in Stockholm with Stackars Lajka & Tam Tapir , neither of which we've ever seen live but we can't wait as we love their names (and songs. and their pirate and marker cover art). the NEW YORK show

so we got our show in brooklyn on october 26th! it's gonna be fun! i just bought another electric guitar so it will be pipas goes all electric. no more of that acoustic rubbish. :-) we will be accompanied by the ballet & oppenheimer. i just saw the ballet a few weeks ago opening for flin flon and they were really great. not sure what, if any, other new york shows we'll be playing so you'd better get to this one!
